EARLY INTERVENTION EDUCATOR
You can help our Early Childhood team make an impact on children in Kenosha County. For sixty years, KAC has been creating opportunities for the personal growth and success of people with special needs. Our children services programs touch over 700 families annually including supporting children at risk due to developmental delay. KAC helps remove barriers, change perceptions and build confidence with all the families we serve.
As an Early Intervention Educator, you will work closely with children referred to the Early Intervention Program due to developmental delay. Your expertise will help parents learn how to promote the best developmental outcomes for their child.

What you can expect in your role as an Early Intervention Educator:
- Provide developmental assessment as part of the Early Intervention team
- Coach caregivers in implementing developmental activities as part of their everyday routines and leisure time activities that will promote their child’s development.
- Help parents discover their child’s strengths and abilities that make them unique.
- Complete required daily documentation for all visits
- Travel to home visits
- Weekly team meetings to support each other in the work we do with families
- Ability to set your own schedule
Your areas of Knowledge and Expertise that matter most for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and/or related areas
- Current Wisconsin Teacher’s license or be able to obtain within 2 years of hire licensing as an Early Childhood Special Education License #1809 (EC -1809)
- Verbal, written and auditory communication skills
- Knowledge of cultural and linguistic competency principles and the ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse staff, participants and stakeholders
- Experience working with children under age 3 with disabilities
- Ability to work as part of team

Pay: $20.30 - $24.36 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
