About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to be an integral part of our critical care team. In this role, you’ll assist in advanced procedures, monitor patients in critical condition, and provide compassionate care to both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage hospitalized critical care patients, including administering medications and treatments.
- Assist veterinarians in emergency and advanced procedures such as intubation, blood transfusions, and diagnostics.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitors.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and education regarding their pet’s care.
- Ensure accurate medical recordkeeping.
- Work collaboratively with a team to provide the highest level of patient care.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency or critical care.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and advanced nursing skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
