Senior Nondestructive Testing Engineer
Salary: Up to $200k
A global frontrunner in pioneering technologies is currently in search of a highly seasoned Nondestructive Testing Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping, directing, and executing the NDE strategy.
Ideally, you will hold a senior-level position, backed by a decade or more of both technical proficiency and leadership experience within the NDE industry. Demonstrated expertise in process development for structural, corrosion-resistant, and thermal barrier coatings, as well as metallic additive manufactured parts, is imperative.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide visionary technical guidance to the NDE team and contribute to business growth.
- Strategically assess capital equipment requirements and establish productive vendor/supplier relationships.
- Offer mentoring support to technical staff as needed.
- Craft and implement a comprehensive NDE technology roadmap.
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with other divisions within the organization, aligning capabilities and research endeavors.
- Cultivate alliances with external technical entities and stakeholders.
- Formulate precise technical scopes of work for proposals, contributing to successful deal closures.
- Actively engage with clients and potential clients to identify technical requisites, define suitable scopes of work, and facilitate client communication.
- Serve as the primary technical influencer during the project sales process.
- Identify potential research partners to enhance capabilities and research avenues.
- Proactively elevate the organization's technical prowess through participation in relevant conferences, technical committees, and related professional ventures.
- Spearhead the development of cutting-edge technical publications and explore novel NDE research domains.
- Ensure the dissemination of pertinent technical accomplishments in NDE through notable conferences and prominent journals.
- Organize impactful technical workshops involving key clients and collaborators
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Recognized mastery in NDE processes like ultrasonic, eddy current, x-ray, computed tomography, thermography, and radiography.
- Proficiency in automated inspection systems.
- Applied expertise in non-contact measurement methods and metrology.
- A track record of leadership and contribution to major advanced NDE research endeavors.
- Acknowledged as a subject matter expert within the NDE industry and among peers.
- Proficiency in publishing, presentation development, and delivery.
- Solution-focused mindset with a knack for providing recommendations on challenges.
- Effective multitasking and autonomous work capabilities while juggling various priorities and associated timelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills conducive to collaboration, negotiation, and teamwork across diverse teams encompassing sales, marketing, engineering, and various proposal-related roles.
