    • Job Summary

    We are seeking an energetic and experienced Assistant Montessori Preschool Teacher / Office Assistant to join our team! The job requires the applicant to be positive and flexible since every day might be different. One day you may be in the office all day and the next day you may be filling in as a substitute for one of our teachers. As an office assistant you will be helping in the day to day tasks of organizing paperwork, answering the phone, creating tour packets...and as a substitute you will be taking care of the children's needs inside a classroom with another teacher.

    We are looking for someone passionate about learning and helping students reach their potential and enjoy working with both adults and children. The person must have strong creative and problem-solving skills, enjoy connecting with individual students and creating an engaging classroom environment.

    Responsibilities

  • Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
  • Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
  • Communicate with parents and other school personnel

    • Qualifications

  • At least 3 Early Childhood Education units and be willing to complete a total of 12 Early Childhood Education units
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Problem-solving and mediation skills
