Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
Experience : Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position, with senior living or home-care background, preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Work Location : In Person at The Kensington Sierra Madre
Job Status / Schedule : Full-Time, Including some Holidays, Weekends, & On-Call

Overview :
The Memory Care Manager is responsible for the operation of a Memory Care neighborhood including, but not limited to, team member selection, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, development and execution of resident Individual Service Plans, maintaining a vibrant life enrichment program, and communication with loved ones.
What will you do as the Memory Care Manager?
Completes resident Evaluations and Individual Service Plans (ISPs) on a timely basis. Facilitates clear communications across departments to ensure that individual residents’ needs are met (for example, dietary requirements, transportation needs, etc.)Organizes and leads Evaluation and ISP meetings with residents and families and submits finalized Evaluations to the business office for processing.Partners with the Life Enrichment Manager and Memory Care Activities Team Members to coordinate the Memory Care activities calendars and ensures Team Member participation in such activities.Ensures clear and concise communication with families / loved ones regarding pre-move-in meetings, Tuck-In calls, 14-Day Check-in meetings, and ongoing touch-point communication.Regularly meets with current and prospective residents and their families to review resident care, participation in activities, solve problems, and promote positive customer relations. Assures problems and complaints are managed in a timely and appropriate manner.Participates in the recruiting process by interviewing prospective hires and advising on next steps.Assesses and determines departmental priorities, conducts regular team meetings to communicate changes and ensures staff participation in community-wide meetings (e.g. Town Halls).Onboards and closely supervises new Team Members and completes Introductory Period performance evaluations and existing Team Member Annual Performance Evaluations; presents staff promotion recommendations to the Executive Director.Ensures that all team members complete the required training to comply with company policies and regulatory standards.Manages staff schedules to ensure they meet the acuity and life enrichment needs of the neighborhood residents, while considering scheduling and PTO requests. Confirms schedules are completed and posted promptly, and all absenteeism is properly recorded and addressed.Manages the neighborhood's financial resources by overseeing the budget. Continuously monitors and adjusts staffing levels, care plans, and supply inventories to ensure alignment with labor, external services, and operational supply costs.Assigns tasks and ensures that assistance with daily activities is provided and accurately documented. Monitors residents' engagement and preferences in life enrichment programs and updates resident ISPs accordingly. Tracks significant changes in residents' conditions and ensures necessary updates in evaluations and care plans are completed.Supports the sales efforts of the community by meeting with prospective clients during community tours and outreach events.Attends and participates in workshops, seminars and other programs to keep apprised of changes in the healthcare field; communicates pertinent learned information to all necessary parties. Participates in other professional development activities as required.Qualifications :
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar position, with senior living or home-care background preferable. Bachelor’s degree preferred.Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings.Must be proficient in English, with the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages and abilities, displaying consideration of their rights and sensitivities.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations, and write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.Ability to effectively present information and address inquiries from managers, families, residents, and the public.Knowledge & Skill :
Must have excellent verbal skills and communication abilities.Ability to work effectively within a team-based environment.Strong time management and organizational skills.Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Property Management Systems.Ability to calculate figures related to budgetary items, staffing needs, and amounts such as percentages and area.Knowledge of appropriate Federal and State regulations pertaining to Senior Living.Pre-Employment Requirements :
Successful completion of criminal background check in state of employment.Demonstrate freedom from Tuberculosis by PPD / TB test or chest x-ray, documenting the absence of tuberculosis in a communicable form.Pass a pre-employment drug test.Mental and Physical Requirements :
Be in good health, and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.Must maintain a clean and well-groomed appearance and follow the dress code as outlined in the employee handbook.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.The employee frequently lifts and / or moves up to 25 pounds. Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds and be able to push such weight a minimum distance of 200 feet.May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during an emergency.Work areas may be subject to noise, distractions, and interruptions, an ability to remain calm and positive in stressful situations is required.We are an equal opportunity employer.
