The Division Manager deliberately influences all aspects of the Division’s overall business and growth objectives. This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who drives a cost-effective gross margin and manages fixed costs to achieve the desired net profit for their Division. The Division Manager also spearheads the strategic and tactical plans in all aspects of a construction business, including Talent, Business Development, Preconstruction, Operations, and Customer Relations.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Lead the Business : Provide leadership and management to drive division sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
Understand the big picture, how to lead others through the details, and balance the demands of both.
Build high-performing teams by developing all employees to their fullest potential, cross-training, and establishing career progression opportunities within the Division.
Focus on the activities that generate gross margin.
Develop strong and collaborative relationships with customers and vendors, thereby helping to resolve conflicts, ensuring expectations are being met, and maintaining potential future opportunities.

Work Environment & Physical Demand :
This position works in an office environment, but it occasionally travels to the field to supervise projects as required.
Position type, travel, and expected hours of work :
This position requires travel to local job locations and regional offices. Typical hours will range from 45-50 hours per week and are subject to change. This role requires the ability to work nontypical days and irregular hours based on construction schedules. Due to the critical nature of the role, accepting phone calls even during nontypical workdays and hours is also necessary.
