Qualifications :
- State of Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate
- Early childhood education ZA / ZS Endorsement (preferred)
- CDA certification (preferred, required if an ECE degree or Teaching Certificate is not held)
- Belief that all children can learn and understanding of differences in students
- Experience with diverse learners, including children with special needs (preferred)
- Ukeru or CPI verbal intervention certification or willingness to become certified
- Passion for early childhood education and commitment to fostering a love of learning
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to support individual student needs and adjust to program changes
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards ? Willingness and commitment to include equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices
- Ability to develop lesson plans utilizing curriculum materials tailored for preschool-aged children
- Ability to design and lead engaging, play-based learning activities
- Understanding of child development milestones and age-appropriate practices (ages 3-6)
- Understanding of developmentally-appropriate curriculum
- Ability to be enthusiastic, flexible, and to work cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators ? Excellent organizational and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening skills)
- Ability to utilize a variety of assessments to inform teaching
- Classroom management skills to foster a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Ability to recognize different learning styles and use of differentiated strategies
- Ability to take a team approach to planning
- Experience with family engagement and community outreach
- Ability to use and integrate technology seamlessly
- Demonstrates enthusiasm, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
- Familiarity with State licensing rules for child care centers (LARA)
- Handwriting Without Tears Pre-Training or willingness to be trained (preferred)
- First Aid, CPR, and AED Training or willingness to be trained (preferred)

Rate : Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 a.m. - 11 : 15 a.m.
