KENT® Corporation has a BRAND NEW opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Business Architect dedicated to our Specialty Milling companies, Grain Processing Corporation (GPC) and KENT Nutrition Group (KNG). In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the development and deployment of IT capabilities in alignment with KENT Corporation’s strategic IT plan.
- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA.
- Role Integration: Combines strategic vision, project management, relationship-building, and product-focused mindset to support Specialty Milling companies, GPC and KNG.
- Project Focus: Dedicated support for GPC and KNG projects, aligning with strategic goals of Specialty Milling companies.
- Capability Enhancement: Champion new capabilities and enhancements in line with Specialty Milling & KENT Corporation strategic objectives.
- Liaison Duties: Serve as a liaison to IT development and support areas, ensuring accurate translation and communication of business needs throughout IT solution life cycles.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert in core business processes of Specialty Milling.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with business leadership to understand strategy, develop capability roadmaps, and budget forecasts.
- Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance business performance through IT and process reengineering.
- Complex Requirement Assimilation: Translate complex business models and processes into clear IT business requirements for development and support.
- Must have either Bachelor’s degree or significant progress toward a degree (equivalent combination of education and Business Architecture IT skills and experience considered)
- Master’s degree in, or significant progress towards this degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field is preferred
- 3 or more years of experience in an IT Business Architecture or related role, with a proven ability to work with best practices processes and a record of success on initiatives across enterprise-level business processes.
- Broad range of business process experience, with the ability to be immediately productive on any given initiative across the enterprise with minimal technical direction.
- Required knowledge of IT enterprise-level business applications, including data warehousing and analytical reporting, methods of ordering/payment/billing, manufacturing and inventory systems, financial systems, and sales support systems.
- Required knowledge of IT Business Architecture and Project Management frameworks, as well as Application Development methodologies, and IT Operations and Service Management processes.
- Knowledge of general IT design and development methodologies, processes, and technology such as system life cycle, system testing, relational databases, and programming constructs.
- Previous experience with business rule collection methodologies and process mapping.
- Ability to communicate complex business and technical issues vertically and horizontally to all levels of the company.
