Grain Processing Corporation (GPC), a member of the KENT® Corporation family of companies, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our Creative Solutions team as a part-time Temporary Lab Technician. Experience working in a laboratory environment is necessary, with formulation knowledge and food background a plus. This role is perfect for someone looking to gain additional hands-on experience, working 20-30 hours a week, in a lab or production kitchen environment and contribute to important projects over the next several months.
- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.
- Perform routine analysis on existing products, experimental prototypes, and competitive products
- Assist in development of trial formulas
- Provide support during bench scale, pilot plant scale, and manufacturing plant trials
- Accurately perform testing and record results
- Proficiently utilize corporate software packages and write reports as required
- Experience working in a laboratory environment is necessary, with formulation knowledge and food background a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of ERP and Laboratory Information Management Systems
- Ability to work on-site 20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 7 am and 5 pm
