Job Responsibilities
The Kent County Sheriff's Office is hiring a Marine Patrol Deputy to ensure water safety and enforce Michigan Marine Safety Laws on county waterways. This role includes patrolling during peak recreational periods (Memorial Day to Labor Day) and teaching boating and ORV safety courses year-round.
Responsibilities
- Enforce marine laws and promote safe boating practices.
- Patrol county waters during high-use periods.
- Investigate water-related incidents and assist boaters.
- Conduct public boating and ORV safety classes.
