Job Responsibilities
Are you looking for summer employment that offers flexible work hours, time spent outdoors and a fun team environment? If so, this may be the summer job for you!
Kent County is accepting applications for seasonal employees to work in all parks throughout the County as well as Kaufman Golf Course. Successful candidates will provide superior customer service to visitors and assist with the care, cleaning and general maintenance of the parks, trails and facilities. Applicants must be 18 years of age for most of our parks, however, Millennium Park, Wabasis Campground, and Kaufman Golf Course - Grounds are now hiring candidates that are 16 years and older.
Working at our Parks is a great opportunity to make extra money over summer break!
Duties will include operating lawn care equipment; cleaning buildings, restrooms, and other public areas; removing trash; caring for grounds and facilities; and assisting park visitors and monitoring park reservations. Some positions may include collecting payments for admissions, merchandise, concession and other fees.
Will perform other duties as assigned.
Please note : M-F work will be paid at $15.75 per hour. Saturday-Sunday work will be paid at $16.75 per hour. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
