Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia and other memory-related conditions.
- Manage pain relief strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records, such as Cerner.
- Perform wound care and assist with suture removal as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and medication administration.
- Participate in travel nursing assignments when required to meet patient needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in long-term care or home care settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in medication administration and experience administering injections.
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Cerner, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient-centered care.
- Willingness to travel for nursing assignments as needed.
