What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Enforcement Officer position at Kent County?
The Security Enforcement Officer positions require a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a responsible work history. A valid Michigan driver's license is required. Must have the ability to interact positively with individuals from widely divergent cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Desire Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) certification or proof of certifiability. Previous experience as law enforcement professional, corrections certification or background desired. The successful applicants will function as part of a highly motivated, team-oriented group of law enforcement professionals. These positions are part-time (no benefits) and incumbents may work up to 1,000 hours in a calendar year. In order to qualify, candidates are subject to detailed personal, work and criminal background investigations and drug testing. The successful candidates must be of sound character, demonstrate a responsible work history, be free of felony convictions and possess a good driving record.
