Provides professional counseling to determine benefits entitlement for veterans and their dependents. Assists with benefits applications and other required documentation in accordance with Federal and State laws. Provides referrals to County community resources and other assistance programs and services. Work is performed under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment and discretion.Ability to interact positively with veterans, dependents, families, other human service professionals and members of the general public from a wide range of cultural and socio- economic backgrounds and with widely divergent levels of educational attainment and social skills.This position may include some Saturdays.
