Kent Crane Inspection & Engineering (KCIE) is a consulting firm located in Tukwila, Washington. At KCIE, we specialize in the performance of cranes, equipment, material handling, industrial, machinery and various types of structures with the capacity to perform a wide range of inspections, tests, simulations, and investigative procedures in the Pacific Northwest and across the country. Our team works on small-to-large projects that usually involve working with our multi-disciplinary team of experts: mechanical, materials and corrosion engineers, technicians and inspectors. We are seeking a motivated full-time structural engineer to be a member of our team. We are looking for a structural engineer who will be able to communicate with clients, construct budgets/proposals, manage projects and complete projects on their own or within a team. We are considering someone with a Structural Engineer’s license and 2 years of experience in the construction industry. This position is a long-term career opportunity for the right individual.

Primary Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:
· Perform site work, obtain field measurements including photographic documentation, and assess damage.
· Design and analyze structures and equipment components.
· Perform engineering analysis of new and existing equipment/structures and prepare structural calculations.
· Review engineering documents and provide 3rd party reviews.
· Utilize CAD and FEA programs in addition to Microsoft Suite.
· Prepare detailed construction documents for cost estimating, permitting, and construction.
· Prepare detailed engineering reports.
· Perform code research.
· Review shop drawings and contractor submittals.
· Track and manage multiple short- and long-term projects at one time.
· Prepare engineering service agreements and budgets.
· Work with other engineers/inspectors involved with projects.
· Potential for additional certifications within the crane and welding inspection industry.
· Communicate effectively with team members, consultants, clients, contractors, etc.
