The Role :  Custom Dip Inspector

Inspection personnel are responsible for finishing operations on custom dipped products. They sort, and visually and tactilely inspect dipped parts (based on customer's specifications and internal standards). Parts are rolled and / or cut to length and packaged as required. Inspection records of completed parts are filled out and maintained.

Essential Functions :

Lifting and carrying product to the inspection area.

Visually and tactilely inspect the product.

Cut with scissors, process parts per specification.

Package parts per specification.

Complete required paperwork.

Keep area cleaned and well maintained.

Range of Physical Activities :

Standing / Walking - Some walking in room as needed for supplies. Continual standing or sitting for long periods of time when inspecting parts.

Pushing / Pulling - Minimal

Lifting – Lifting product of up to 40# to a height of five feet (maximum)

Writing - Inspection information, reports, and order information.

Reading - Schedule for orders, assembly specifications, special instructions and labels on cartons.

Math - Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. Must be able to understand and use fractions and decimals.

Climbing – None required.

Manual Dexterity - Two hands are required for handling, inspecting, and packaging parts; to remove and replace inspection forms; and to perform some finishing operations.

Visual Activity - Must be able to identify products and mandrel sizes. Must have 20 / 20 vision (or corrected to 20 / 20). Must be able to detect subtle changes in color.
