This critical role will be responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs focused on a newly identified enterprise sales process, CRM systems, and other sales enablement tools. PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct listening tours with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business, products, and services to gain understanding of how they contribute to the overall sales strategy of the organization.
  • Gain a deep understanding of our products, distribution channels, dealer network and company stores to support the sales teams effectively, drive sales growth, and contribute to the company’s success.
  • Partner with global sales teams, customer service, marketing, and product teams to gather information, identify key training needs, and to ensure cohesive brand messaging and execution.
  • Develop and define the KENT enterprise sales process in alignment with the sales steering committee.
  • Develop a comprehensive training program focused on the sales process for internal teams ensuring alignment with brand values and customer experience goals, including training materials: presentations, handouts, and exercises.
  • As the primary trainer the Sales Development and Training Manager will schedule and conduct workshops and training sessions that equip sales teams and dealers with the tools and knowledge needed to effectively communicate brand benefits and drive sales.
  • Create and provide in-depth training on CRM system and all sales enablement tools ensuring all sales team members are proficient in its use, can leverage its features to manage customer relationships effectively, and to enhance their productivity and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with each business unit stakeholders including internal sales teams, outside repping groups, dealer networks or retailers, providing training and resources to enhance their sales effectiveness and address dealer-specific needs and challenges.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all sales training programs through assessments and feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve training outcomes.
  • Manages and nurtures the relationship with ISU Ivy Sales by coordinating joint initiatives and ensuring alignment with our overall sales strategy.
  • Manage budget and resources for sales training programs.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Education, Communication, or related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in the sales field. Knowledge of the KENT brands is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales training or sales certificate required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze training needs and develop effective training solutions.
  • Experience in conducting virtual and in-person training sessions.

TRAVEL:

  • This role requires approximately 30% travel across the US to support sales employees and dealers.

OTHER:

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in sales training and development. This could involve attending industry conferences, participating in webinars, and engaging in professional development opportunities.
  • The responsibilities of this role are intended to be performed in office at Muscatine headquarters.
