What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Nurse Intern, Acute Care of the Elderly position at Kent Hospital?
Primary Function: In this training position, under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse Preceptor, the Student Nurse Intern will provide care to patients and assists in performing various activities when caring for the personal needs and comforts of patients. The Student Nurse Intern utilizes clinical experience and theoretical knowledge to enhance their learning experience.
Responsibilities:
Maintain skills and competencies required of the Student Nurse Intern position.
Complies with customer service requirements.
Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
Maintains and gathers supplies to perform job
Job Qualifications and Specifications
Current matriculation in a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited Baccalaureate Degree Program in Nursing is preferred. Candidates in an Associates Degree Program will be considered.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process.
EXPERIENCE: Nursing students in their senior year of a nursing program, Graduating December 2025 - June 2026
All student nurse interns will be required to have a nursing assistant license at time of hire.
