Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Reporting any factors that may impact product quality and safety to the immediate supervisor
- Installing circuit breakers, starters, panels, running conduit, and making hook-ups with minimal supervision
- Repairing and maintaining mill equipment with little or no supervision
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment up to 480 volts
- Having thorough knowledge of electrical supply circuits
- Possessing good welding skills and proficiency with an oxygen acetylene torch
- Performing installation and repair of normal pipe runs
- Reading and working with blueprints, drawings, sketches, and schematics
- Having a complete understanding of mill flows, processes, equipment, electrical systems, parts inventories, and sources
- Training less experienced electricians
- Filling on-call positions as assigned during non-regular business hours
- Following all KNG Guidelines and company policies, regulatory requirements, and certifying agencies
- Attending seminars and correspondence courses to improve skill levels
- Being physically able to perform tasks such as climbing, lifting, and carrying weights up to 55 lbs
- Maintaining safe practices at all times
