Kent Nutrition Group, a five-time US Best Managed Company and member of the KENT Corporation family of companies, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for its Richford, VT plant.
About the Role
This Monday-Friday position involves maintaining and servicing all plant equipment and buildings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients.
Key Responsibilities
- Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor
- Install circuit breakers, starters, panels, run conduit and make hook-ups with little or no supervision
- Maintain and repair mill equipment with thorough knowledge and expertise
- Troubleshoot electrical equipment in the plant and repair same up to 480 volts
- Have good welding skills and proficiency with an oxygen acetylene torch
- Perform installation and repair of normal pipe runs
- Read and work with blueprints, drawings, sketches and schematics
- Train less experienced electricians
- Fulfill on-call positions as assigned during non-regular business hours
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Positive attitude and team spirit required
- PASS pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs from floor to working height as job requires
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow
- Basic computer knowledge
- Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout
- Thorough understanding of cGMP's
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan
- Knowledge of FSMA
