About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our team at Kent Nutrition Group in Mason, Michigan. As a critical member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all plant activities, including facilities, personnel, customer relations, operations, quality, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the plant operates in accordance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Develop and train personnel on job operation, efficient work strategies, safety, and product quality procedures.
- Lead and manage department leads, assistant plant managers, office managers, and other personnel.
- Prepare fiscal year plant goals and objectives, providing quarterly updates to the regional operations manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5-10 years related work experience, preferably in feed mill operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience leading and managing operational teams.
- Financial experience with P&L statements, budget preparation, and capital planning.
- Knowledge of regulatory agencies such as FDA, OSHA, and EPA.
- Additional training in GMPs, HACCP, and SFSF is preferred.
