- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Richford, VT.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To assist the Quality Control Manager and Sanitation Supervisor in maintaining the Richford facility in a clean, rodent and pest free state, while meeting or exceeding all standards of the FDA, USDA, NYS Ag. & Markets and all other regulatory certification and food industry agencies.
- Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
- Carry out daily cleaning and housekeeping assignments as per the Sanitation Supervisor and sanitation schedule in a safe, efficient manner.
- Fill in production positions when necessary.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
- Understanding of feed mill equipment and layout.
- Thorough understanding of cGMP’s.
- Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
- Knowledge of FSMA.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs. to a height of 48 inches continually for the assigned period.
- Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.
