- This is a salaried position with a complete benefit package reporting to the Regional Sales Manager.
- The compensation range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with Regional Sales Manager to identify open markets and set up appropriate distribution
- Work directly with livestock producers to prospect business through feed trials, nutrition formulation utilizing Dalex, and feed management support.
- Increase sales of all KNG products through the Dealer channel and Direct Livestock Producer
- Increase profitability of the assigned territory for KNG
- Provide support and direction to Territory Accounts for;
- Technical support at the producer and dealer level
- Feed formulation support; Dalex
- Promotion Planning
- Dealer Net and Dealer Club Review and Support
- New Product Introductions
- Product training and support
- Merchandising Assistance
- Up selling and add-on sales
- Consumer Seminars to educate consumers and build brand and product awareness
- End –User field calls as needed to grow the business
- Work with Regional Sales Manager to identify open markets and set up appropriate distribution
- Call on accounts weekly to monthly based on determining factors
- Travel in territory is 75-80% of the role
- Weekly use of Saleslogix to communicate all account activity
- Accountable for tracking tonnage, division results and promotion sign-ups
EDUCATION:
- BS degree in Animal Science or Ag related business degree
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 – 4 years of related work experience
- 1-2 years beef industry experience preferred
- Nutrition, formulating, on farm experience absolutely required
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong results-orientated and goal motivated team player
- Excellent skills in the following: organizational, detail-oriented, written and verbal communication skills and merchandising experience
- Ability to focus on predetermined direction
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ration Balancing Programs.
TRAVEL:
- 85% Visiting Dealerships in the territory, calling on end users in the territory, trade shows, sales blitzes, and sales meetings
- 15% - office
