We are looking for someone who will share our passion for connecting with consumers with our leading pet care brands. This role will work to understand the needs of pets and pet parents, and translate those insights into innovative solutions. This internship offers you the chance to explore the exciting world of consumer insights and market research. As an intern, not only will you gain valuable cross-functional experience, but you will also play an active role in showing the impact of new ideas and products in real-life situations.
This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
This internship promises a dynamic and hands-on experience that will provide invaluable insights into the world of product and marketing innovation.
Collaboration and Insight :
Identify key pain points in the consumer experience.
Engage internal cross-functional teams in consumer interviews and empathy exercises designed to help them better relate to these consumer pain points.
Market Analysis :
Conduct a thorough review of the competitive landscape and available solutions related to the key consumer needs.
Consumer Data : Help quantify insights gathered in empathy exercises through the creation and analysis of consumer surveys.
New Product Development Support : Investigate product claims, providing detailed insights that can directly impact our strategy.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND / OR QUALIFICATIONS :
Working toward a degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology or Business with Marketing focus
Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills
Familiarity with conducting competitive analyses
Comfortable working independently when needed
Basic understanding of key marketing principles - completion of a minimum of two marketing related classes
