The position of Sanitation Supervisor is required to follow, enforce and monitor process controls, operating procedures, and requirements set up by the FDA and upper management for the sanitation of facility, machines and equipment.
- “The compensation range for this role is $72,000 to $82,000 in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.”
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the effective, efficient, and high quality completion of all work by sanitation employees on the shift
- Ensures all scheduled sanitation tasks relating to production schedule is followed and completed
- Ensures that all Sanitation SOP’s are followed
- Ensures that the next shift is set up for an efficient, effective start-up
- Develops Master Sanitation schedule for entire facility.
- Ensures that all master sanitation requirements are scheduled and completed, including all documentation required.
- Routine Sanitation work including but not limited to area assessment, organization, cleaning, sanitizing and auditing.
- Ensure all site safety procedures are followed and that all sanitation employees are trained, and follow LOTO, and other chemical safety procedures.
- Responsible for monitoring cleaning supplies, and measurement of proper dilutions for cleaning agents and sanitizers. This includes documentation of cleaning concentrations as required.
- Follows all Core and Operating procedures. Responsible for training all employees on proper procedures for all shifts. Shall recommend improvements as observed and warranted to procedures.
- Meet BRC, FDA, and all customer audit criteria for sanitation related activities.
- Coordinates sanitation work and organizes employee activities (as appropriate), monitors performance and implements improvement in planning. Responsible for all shifts of sanitation employees.
- Controls sanitation supply budgets by maintaining sanitation supplies inventory, increasing maintenance on periphery equipment, and supporting preventative maintenance techniques.
- Controls work orders, tool checklists, chemical control, and other operation’s related GMP’s.
- Troubleshoots and makes necessary repairs to sanitation equipment.
- Writes work orders for any equipment or building deficiencies that require maintenance attention.
- Serves as a trainer to employees at all levels.
- Focuses on continuous improvement and root-cause problem solving.
- Has a practical and working knowledge of the custom dry blend and packaging business
- Performs all other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to use the math and computation skills required for this position
- Ability to assist in the creation and writing of procedures, work manuals and plans
- Ability to interact in a professional manner at all positions and levels including but not limited to contacts in plant management, production personnel, customer service representatives, procurement and sales
