What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant (Studies Office) position at Kent School Corporation?
Schedule/travel: Temporary, Part-Time position. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 15-20 hours per week, but may vary according to the needs of the Studies Office, and Kent School.

Responsible for the coordination of the Studies office reception center, greeting all visitors and providing overall administrative support to the Director of Studies.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Answer phones, greet and direct visitors.
- Maintain student records through filing and data entry.
- Enter specific class rosters as needed.
- Print and assemble new student files, ensuring all required information has been received.
- Assemble Cum Laude certificate folders for inductees.
- Monitor and order office supplies.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and work experience in related fields, preferably in an independent school setting. A minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience is preferred.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and the ability to work discreetly with sensitive information.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
- Possess the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent telephone and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and make sound decisions with flexibility/adaptability and have a calm demeanor.
- Be proficient with Google Suite, and have an aptitude for learning new technology.
- Be experienced in Veracross.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
- Must be able to work in an office environment.
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Requires substantial movement (motions) of wrists, hands, and fingers with keyboard use.
- Ability to use visual display.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 10 lbs. without assistance.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug test.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Work is performed on a smoke-free campus.
