- This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer demand to identify patterns and insights.
- Utilize advanced forecasting tools and techniques to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
- Extract data from data warehouses, using POS data, forecasting tools, and other data sources for analysis.
- Prepare content for the Demand Review Meetings of IBP, including PowerPoint slides, charts/graphs, and other analysis to assist in the Demand and/or Executive Review Meetings.
- Develop and support existing and new reports and dashboards in Microsoft Power BI to support demand planning progress.
- Incorporate external factors to assist in scenario planning analysis.
- Provide recommendations based on data findings.
- Analyze and document business requirements.
- Maintain analytics and metrics development pipeline/status updates.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts related to demand planning activities.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects to support business initiatives and drive overall performance.
- Maintain existing reports and collaborate with the IT analytics team to get them published.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and automation.
- Experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience using demand planning software and tools (e.g., SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, or similar) a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) are required.
- Experience working with AI or Machine Learning methods is a plus.
TRAVEL:
- Occasional overnight travel maybe required, as needed to attend training, conferences, and meetings.
