What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Lead Program Facilitator position at Kent Youth and Family Services?
Kent Youth and Family Services is hiring Program Facilitator Leads to work at our Birch Creek, Cascade, and Valli Kee Youth Centers. This position is responsible for the coordination, supervision, and implementation of the After School Program activities and curriculum for families residing in and around Subsidized King County Housing Authority sites. Responsibilities include daily on-site implementation and supervision of curriculum and program activities, including enrichment, STEM, academic support, higher education and career exploration, and healthy living initiatives. Additionally, the role involves assigning daily closing maintenance duties during regular operating hours and overseeing building supervision in the Site Lead's absence at the assigned location. Work closely with the Program Director, Site Lead and other staff in program development and serve as liaison between housing residents and Kent Youth and Family Services.
SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 24-28 hours per week. Late morning to early evenings.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and guide staff in administering, coordinating, and providing support for all scheduled enrichment and recreational activities.
- Facilitate youth programming to enhance social development, educational progress, and role model relationships with youth and families.
- Help in planning programming aligned with AfterSchool theory of change and youth program quality initiatives, including scheduling, snack/meals, academic time, and outdoor activities.
- Create supply list and order program supplies.
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and handle conflict resolution with a focus on positive discipline and respect.
- Help network within the community to determine community needs and resources available for use in program development.
- Navigate online educational tools effectively.
- Ensure staff and volunteers engage students actively.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Provide direct supervision for all scheduled educational and recreational programs during the Site Lead's absence.
- Write weekly site reports and maintain records.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and training programs.
