About the Role :
KENTECH Consulting is seeking an experienced Security Team Lead to support personnel security clearance processing at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory for the U.S. Department of Energy Naval Reactors Personnel Security Program . This role is critical in managing and overseeing security operations, ensuring compliance with DOE and Naval Reactors security requirements .
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee personnel security clearance processing activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government officials regarding security procedures.
- Ensure strict compliance with DOE and Naval Reactors security policies and procedures.
- Monitor quality control and maintain performance metrics for security processing.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Security Administrative Assistants .
- Maintain secure documentation of all clearance-related materials and generate reports.
- Stay up to date with DOE Q clearance regulations and federal security policies.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
5 years of experience in security clearance processing or personnel security.
Previous experience with DOE, DOD, or other federal security clearance programs .
Leadership experience managing a security team or clearance processing operations.
Familiarity with federal security databases and tracking systems.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance (requires extensive background check).
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior DOE Q or DOD Secret / Top Secret clearance is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of federal security policies and compliance procedures .
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills .
Compensation :
Estimated Pay Range : $40 / HR
