CLASS SUMMARY: |
Responsible for skilled repair and maintenance work on gasoline and diesel-powered equipment, including heavy construction equipment, snow removal equipment, aircraft crash trucks and fire and police vehicles with onboard computer systems. |

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: High School Degree or GED and five years' experience in the repair of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment including strong experience working on large diesel vehicles/equipment; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. |

ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Very Heavy Work: exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. |
