SUMMARY
The Corporate Facility/Maintenance Technician performs maintenance, safety and management tasks that promote a clean and safe working environment for the company. This position will be responsible for the facility management of four physical locations in the metro area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Ensure that the facilities are fully operational with all utilities functioning properly.
Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment.
Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, production floor and parking lots.
Perform routine maintenance on facilities and make repairs as needed.
Maintain ongoing communication and scheduled routine inspections and emergency repairs with contractors, vendors and the company team.
Identify and perform corrective actions on equipment relating to production and or safety. Including but not limited to MBO folder, Pitney Bowes FlowMaster Inserters, Bell & Howell Swingarm Inserters, MCS Inkjets and Perfect Match System, Kurk-Rudi bases, Baummer Glue System and Pressure Sealers.
Recommending and maintaining equipment tools, parts and supplies. Maintain stock levels and parts within budget.
Proficiently setup mail manufacturing equipment including but not limited to MBO folder, Pitney Bowes FlowMaster Inserters, Bell & Howell Swingarm Inserters, MCS Inkjets and Perfect Match System, Kurk-Rudi bases, Baumer Glue System and Pressure Sealers.
Effectively communicate state of equipment and any work being performed on equipment to management.
Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain a high degree of quality in all work performed
Maintain a clean and safe work area
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional level experience. 3 – 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions. Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations. Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements and safety precautions related to facilities management. Must be well organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter. Strong procurement and negotiation skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to read fine print. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and sales tax.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. Must be able to life 30 lbs in repetition and 70 lbs. max.
