Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as proficiency in various imaging techniques.
Duties
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients as per physician orders while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Position patients correctly to obtain the best possible images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Maintain and operate X-ray equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and results obtained.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic technique and infection control measures during all procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in diagnostic radiology, including techniques such as sonography, mammography, nuclear medicine, PET scans, and emergency medicine.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as an X-ray Technician.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Familiarity with various imaging modalities including sonography, mammography, nuclear medicine, and PET scans is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage patient records accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is an advantage but not required.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
