The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.

District Court has an opening for a Case Mgr-30th Judicial District -AOCNT- Eviction Diversion in Jefferson County.
This is a grant funded position.
Characteristics of the Job: Responsible for providing assistance to the District Court judges regarding eviction diversion. This position involves working closely with litigants to understand their circumstances, facilitate effective communication between parties, and guide them towards alternative housing arrangements. The Eviction Diversion Case Manager will leverage their expertise to prevent eviction through mediation, negotiation, and collaboration with community resources.
Examples Of Duties Or Responsibilities Of This Classification
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: 3 years of work-related experience
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Master of Social Work or Master of Science in Social Work preferred
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must have and maintain valid driver's license. Job requires general knowledge of the concepts of housing stability and affordability, conflict resolution, interpersonal communication and writing skills. Data program management and evaluation. Scheduling and organizing program-related meetings and events; and consultation, education and training to staff and other groups.
Working Conditions
Work typically within a trial court and office setting.

Examples Of Duties Or Responsibilities Of This Classification
- Receives public offense complaints against tenants in eviction court.
- Conducts preliminary outreach to litigants to improve attendance.
- Recommends litigants to legal counsel, social service agencies and other assistance programs.
- Assists with developing goals and objectives, policies, procedures, and performance measures.
- Develops and maintains communication and effective working relationships with external agencies and organizations.
- Seeks regulatory training and updates.
- Collects and share program data monthly with NCSC and Stout Risius Ross, the advisory firm leading the program evaluation.
- Prepare and submit biannual grant reports to National Center for State Courts (NCSC).
- Participates in ongoing peer learning opportunities with other EDI jurisdictions and attend the annual in- person convening of EDI facilitators.
- Meets regularly with NCSC staff and other EDI partners to share program updates and receive technical assistance and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
