What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fueler/Oiler position at Kentucky Aggregate - Cumberland River Quarry?
The Cumberland River Quarry in Salem, Kentucky is currently recruiting for an Oiler/Fueler. Only on-line applicants will be considered / evaluated.
Fueler/Oiler-Classification Description:
- Perform any required service with help from trainer
- Fill out reports legible and complete
- Fuel and check oil levels on equipment
- Grease all locations on equipment with help from trainer
- Check all equipment on equipment list per shift
- Complete at least 20 (250/500) hour services
- Can do any service with minimal help
- Help mechanics when slow
- Keep service truck clean and in order
- Can grease all spots on equipment with no help
- Complete at least 20 (1000) hour services
- Maintain a good attendance record, have a good attitude towards the job, be responsible for minimal to no property damage incidents. (All incidents will be reviewed by management.)
- Complete job duties to the satisfaction of the supervisor
- Complete any service without help
- Perform replacement of hyd. hoses / O-rings
- Spot and report issues seen while servicing machine/bad oil leaks and so on
- Keep shop lube area and tank area clean and in order at all times.
- Fix and report any leaks on bulk tanks even a seep.
- Complete at least 20 (2000) hour services
- Must be self-motivated
Basic Requirements:
- Do you have the ability and desire to work 12-hour shifts?
- Do you have the willingness and flexibility to work weekend or overtime as needed?
- Do you have the ability to do manual labor including lifting items as heavy as 50 pounds?
- Do you have the ability and desire to work during inclement conditions including extreme heat and cold?
- Do you have the ability to climb ladders, stairs, and preform repetitive bending and stooping when required?
- Do you possess excellent communication skills and work well with all personnel at the Quarry?
- Are you motivated and a self-starter?
- Interested employees must be in current classification for 12 months before applying
- If awarded position, employee must stay in this new position for at least 12 months before applying for a new position
