What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at Kentucky Eye Center?
Successful ophthalmology (eye M.D.) practice in Lexington is in search of a full-time or part-time ophthalmic technician. We are looking for a dependable, bright, friendly, organized technician with a keen attention to detail. This small office is fast-moving and offers a rewarding career.
Typical Ophthalmic Technician will work up patients by obtaining chief complaints, medical, surgical history, check visual acuity, perform OCT, fundus photography, field testing, IOP testing, lensometry, pachymetry, manual refracting etc. Proficiency with computers is mandatory. Applicant must be able to multi-task during periods of heavy patient traffic. Must be self motivated, eager to learn and work well with a team. May be cross-trained to work in other areas as needed.

Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
