What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scenic Carpenter position at Kentucky Opera?
The Scenic Carpenter will help with the construction, load-in, and strike of scenic pieces for productions. Candidates must be strong in or willing to learn carpentry, metal working, and using tools. Candidates with rigging, theatrical experience, and/or ability to read drafting is preferred. This position reports to the Production Manager and Technical Director and may be required to work weekends and evenings. Scenic carpenters may be required to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs either alone or with a team.
