ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
The Kentucky River Area Development District, an eight-county planning and development agency, is accepting applications for the position of Economic Development Coordinator.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO :
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Community & Economic Development, aids local governments, special districts, industrial authorities and planning commissions with issues related to achieving local goals with respect to the economic development of Kentucky River Area Development District.
The primary function of this job is to perform economic development, implementation, planning, marketing, and research work to encourage and broaden the industrial and commercial economic base in the Kentucky River region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Planning is preferred. Associate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Planning or closely related field required.
A combination of education, training, and experience may be substituted when competency in the role is demonstrated.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with knowledge of accounting and budgetary procedures.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, public, and elected officials.
Must be able to work under pressure and against frequent deadlines with little or no supervision.
- Must have valid driver’s license. A competency test and criminal records check will be required before interviewing with the Personnel Committee of the KRADD.
- Applicants must pass a drug screen for employment offer.
