SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Oversees and administers and day-to-day activities for the offices supported by Title III funds, assisting Student Success, Counseling, and Career Services.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with the Title III Activity Directors Student Affairs.
- Assist the Directors to ensure compliance with the rules and regulations governing the Title III program. Remains informed regarding Title III and Department of Education polices and grant terms/conditions.
- Prepare various paperwork, such as Requisitions, Check Requests, Change Order Forms, and authorizations for program purchases and travel request.
- Assist in the data collection, input, and processing of data related to the Title III grant.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with stakeholders in assessing grant implementation issues and supports.
- erves as the Student Success logistical leader for the Office of Title III Programs.
- Scheduling quarterly meeting with Activity Directors, reminders for Mid-Year Report and Year-End Reports and Budget Narratives.
- Carries out the mission of the career services office. Provides career counseling and referrals to assist students with the career development process, including clarifying objectives and obtaining occupational information.
- Oversees the Institutional Work Study program for hiring students to campus jobs.
- Assists students with career development and planning process.
- Assists the Career Services Director in planning and implementing job fairs and on-campus recruiting events.
- Distributes information on internships, summer jobs, and local part-time jobs.
- Works closely with Career Services Director to maintain/update career services web site.
- Promotes office to students, alumni, and employers through a variety of marketing efforts.
- Attends all student life staff meetings and training events.
- Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Career Center Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education/experience: 4-year degree required, or equivalent years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Must be able to pass appropriate background/drug screenings.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Excellent oral, written, and communication skills; i.e., the ability to communicate effectively verbally and through written correspondence as well as in communicating with individuals in one-on-one situations. Requires a precise command of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and the correct usage of the English language. Must be adept at consistently multitasking while accurately attending to detail.
