Director of Materials Science

The Packaging Material Science Leader will play a critical role in shaping the future of packaging at Kenvue. This senior-level position will involve developing and implementing a comprehensive packaging material strategy that meets business objectives, regulatory requirements, and sustainability targets. Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive packaging material strategy that meets business objectives, regulatory requirements, and sustainability targets.
- Design and develop innovative packaging materials that enhance product protection, aesthetics, and environmental impact.
- Stay current with packaging regulations and quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of packaging requirements into product development.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the R&D Packaging team.

Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in material development, including program leadership or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of packaging material properties, polymer science, and material interactions.
- Proficiency in material testing techniques, including mechanical testing, permeability analysis, thermal analysis, and accelerated aging studies.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving innovation in packaging materials.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
