Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $144,000 to $247,250. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
What you will do
The Global Marketing Director Make-Up is responsible for leading the Portfolio strategy and the development of 3-year innovation and communication pipeline to deliver Neutrogena Make-up strategic plan and operating plan goals. This position will manage the development of new product concepts, claims, commercial innovation, contract manufacturer relations and lifecycle management projects shaped by consumer & category insights and trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Global Neutrogena Make-up strategy and vision, including brand positioning, vision, and strategic expansion plans.
- Lead innovation pipeline development with cross functional team and contract manufacturers.
- Effectively lead and direct a cross-functional team to drive excellence in all aspects of product development from concept research to product design, packaging development and commercialization.
- Build and effectively influence business activities and projects, including gaining alignment from key partners and decision-makers to advance a prototypical & harmonized portfolio architecture, covering critical category entry points.
- Build a high-performance environment and a culture of collaboration and innovation with cross-functional partners and marketing counterparts.
- Design for the US lead market while looking at expansion opportunities to other Priority markets.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, in Marketing or Business preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of working experience, with at least 8 years of progressive marketing experience is required.
- Prior Make-up innovation and brand management experience is required.
- Experience in managing contract manufacturers is highly preferred.
- Proven brand business building, critical thinking, and marketing thought leadership-ability to craft ideas & recommendations based on consumer insights.
- Proven cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
- Proven ability to understand a consumer target and position a brand, project, and innovation.
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to influence key partners and decision makers without authority.
- Proven analytical skills and financial acuity in making effective business decisions.
- An MBA or equivalent degree is preferred.
- Prior Make-up experience is a must.
- Proven track record of driving growth and innovation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
