What You Will Do
The Global Segment Sr. Project Manager is responsible for managing global Innovation and Renovation projects in support of Kenvue’s and assigned Segment’s Strategic Plan, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple complex global product innovation and renovation projects from definition through launch, adhering to Kenvue’s Innovation and Project Management playbooks, standards, and tools.
- Provide overall project management for a global cross-functional team, including R&D, Marketing, Packaging, Operations, Finance, and Regional Project Management, ensuring timely delivery of project goals and benefits within budget and quality standards.
- Resolve execution barriers, raise issues, and engage decision-makers promptly when projects deviate from plans.
- Own the overall project plan, including scope, business case, schedule, launch timing, and risk management.
- Lead cross-functional planning sessions to develop integrated project execution plans and risk management strategies.
- Oversee team activities to ensure compliance and reliability in delivering project objectives.
- Coordinate team meetings, track milestones, establish contingency and acceleration plans, and facilitate decision-making and issue resolution.
- Assess risks using strong business knowledge and technical skills, developing contingency and mitigation plans as needed.
- Prepare and deliver project updates and stage-gate reviews at governance forums, making Go/No-go recommendations and communicating risks and issues effectively.
- Develop a deep understanding of assigned Segment/Brand/Need State’s strategy and goals to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize project metrics and lessons learned to enhance business results, processes, and tools, while building project management capability through coaching and support.
- Maintain accurate project and portfolio tracking information to ensure visibility at all organizational levels.
- Support Operations BDT Leads and Project Management BDT with project updates and ad hoc data requests as needed.
- May Serve as a Project Management point-of-contact for a Brand Development Team, providing input during project ideation and acting as a liaison between teams and the broader global/regional project management community.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 10 years of business/work experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years of proven success in management of large, highly complex, new product commercialization or life cycle management projects from ideation through to benefit realization.
- Ability to effectively interact across all organizational levels, leading discussions and holding teams accountable without direct line authority, fostering alignment among cross-functional partners (Commercial, R&D, Operations, Regional PM, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex issues and risks clearly through reports and dashboards, with recommendations suitable for senior leaders (up to VP).
- Strong business and financial acumen, with knowledge of financial principles and project evaluation methods to make informed recommendations that align with business goals.
- Proven inclusive team leadership skills, inspiring and delivering results through trust and empowerment, while constructively challenging cross-functional partners to enhance collective success.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, acting as a change agent and adapting quickly to changing business dynamics, while confidently solving problems to shape new ways of working.
- Proven track record of meeting project objectives in fast-paced environments by effectively managing, tracking, and implementing strategies related to scope, quality, time, and cost.
- Capability to work independently without direct line management authority over team members.
- Strong accountability, ability to work under pressure, and excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Comfort with challenging the status quo and seeking opportunities for process improvement.
- Master’s Degree or MBA or other advanced degree
- PMP certification and/or other industry and project management certification
- Experience working in Consumer Goods industry.
- Experience in a GMP or regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC)
- Experience in Process Excellence / 6 Sigma methodologies
- Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $119,000 - $179,000 USD .This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
