It spearheads Process Improvement, applying data-driven strategies and Six Sigma efficiencies. Responsibilities include metric management, advancing safety and quality, and keeping training current. This position mentors staff, drives process enhancements, and champions a quality-focused mindset across operations. It also plays a critical role in continuous improvement, leading key projects and offering expert Process Excellence guidance.

Key Responsibilities
1, Operational and Process Focus
- Lead and participate in Process Improvement activities, including, but not limited to assessment/diagnostics, kaizen events, Six Sigma Projects, and lean process implementation (e.g., 5S, Visual Workplace).
- Manage and report on assigned metrics and associated performance drivers.Use data as part of a comprehensive approach to process improvement.
- Support process improvement activities through completion of Action Items, CAPAs, Change Controls, and other related actions as needed.
- Identify and elevate all immediate and potential quality, safety, or environmental issues (material, procedure, and process) as observed.
- Maintain an updated and current training record (adhere to training timelines in Compliance Wire, etc).
- Participate in Safety initiatives and programs.
- People and Organizational Focus
- Leverage problems and Process Excellence knowledge and tools as a way to develop others.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Work as a team member with cross functional areas to ensure process outcomes are achieved.
- Ensure ownership of own goals, objectives, and Development Plan.
- Compliance Focus
- Ensure Quality, Compliance, and Safety First mindsets are integrated into all projects and initiatives.
- Operate equipment and conduct work based on established and certified cGMP, Safety & Environmental practices.
- Customer and Performance Improvement Focus
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities for process and equipment.
- Sharing knowledge
- Share work knowledge/expertise with fellow team members
- Training of new employees as requested (if qualified)
- Impart process improvement (lean, data) concepts to others in classroom and one-to-one settings.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Support process/site diagnostics
- Participate in opportunity prioritization process
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for the site
- Lead and/or participate in projects, kaizen events and follow up activities
- Collect, analyze, and report requested metrics and use same to lead improvements
- Assist with Change Control initiation, completion, and approval as required
- Update batch records, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), logbooks and other documents as required
- Assist Technical Operations as Master Batch Record (MBR) authors, including Validation and Experimental MBR, revising SOPs and other documents as required
- Facilitate meetings and communicate action plans
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree, focused in Engineering, Business Administration, Science, Operations Management, or related field is preferred
- A minimum of 6 years engineering and/or production experience in a manufacturing environment
- Self-starter, results-oriented with excellent communication, analytical, change management and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with support functions (Quality, Engineering, etc.), supervision and management
- Knowledge and/or experience in Process Excellence Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing; Green belt certification preferred
