Branch Manager
Summary:
The Branch Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the entire dealership location.
He/she will develop and execute plans to ensure the dealership's profitability. Objectives must be
accomplished through planning, motivating, and coordinating activities of all departments.
Essential Duties:
Obtains, reviews, and recommends improvements for each department.
Develops and maintains a good working relationship with customers, manufacturers,
employees, and vendors.
Teaches company policies and establishes recruiting and training programs.
Monitors branch effectiveness.
Assures parts and service departments are working to improve company KPI initiatives.
Handles all dealership personnel functions including on-boarding, employee development,
and accountability, and terminations.
Reviews and approves the compensation plans for all branch employees.
Ensures that department managers are training and supervising employees for optimum
performance and effectiveness.
Resolves any customer complaints that department management has not been able to
resolve.
Communicate policies and procedures to all employees to ensure they are understood and
followed.
Formally evaluates each department manager yearly.
Provides enthusiastic leadership to shape employees' attitudes and build morale.
Establishes harmony and teamwork across departments and locations.
Conducts weekly manager meetings and reports to ownership.
Creates a culture of positivity.
Coordinates with the corporate office to ensure that records are maintained accurately.
Supervises and coordinates facilities management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of previous management experience
Requires general knowledge of all phases of branch operations
Ability to understand P&L and oversee branch's revenue and expenses to increase profits
and reduce losses
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:
The Branch Manager will spend time in an office environment, frequent meetings, as well as be in the
field for various site and safety inspections. Traveling regularly throughout the state as well as in
other areas of the country as needed.
