Logistics Manager
Summary:
A Logistics Manager for Parts Distribution will be a highly organized and experienced Logistics Manager, to lead
and manager the internal and external distribution of heavy-duty truck parts for both retail and wholesale
operations. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of parts across our
dealership network and to our valued customers. The ideal Logistics Manager for Parts Distribution should have
strong logistics experience, excellent communication skills, and a working knowledge of logistics software
platforms, particularly Elite Extra.
Essential Duties:
Oversee daily operations of parts logistics across multiple dealership locations and
external delivery routes
Manage and optimize delivery schedules, routes, and driver assignments using Elite
Extra logistics software
Ensure on-time delivery performance to both internal branches and external
customers, while reducing delivery costs and improving efficiency
Collaborate with Parts Managers and Inventory Control teams to align distribution
strategies with business needs
Develop and implement best practices for route planning, load optimization, and driver
performance metrics
Monitor vehicle utilization, maintenance needs, and compliance with DOT and
company safety standards
Lead, train, and develop a team of delivery drivers and dispatch personnel
Analyze logistics KPIs and create regular reports for leadership on performance, cost,
and service levels
Resolve delivery issues and customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and company transportation policies
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Minimum 5 years of logistics or transportation management experience,
preferably in automotive or heavy-duty truck parts distribution
Proven expertise in route planning, fleet coordination, and delivery execution
Proficiency with Elite Extra or similar logistics and dispatch management software
is required
Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and cost control
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Experience working within a multi-location dealership or distribution network
Familiarity with dealership DMS systems and inventory coordination
Knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle safety compliance
Maintain a Valid Driver's License and ability to pass our insurance requirements
(CDL a plus)
