Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a Tenure Track position in the Dance, Drama, Film Department at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in July 1, 2025. Duties of the position involve teaching the equivalent of five courses annually, designing main stage productions, mentoring students, and participating in collegiate service. Candidates should have primary expertise in costume design with additional expertise in scene and properties design. An MFA or the equivalent is required. Teaching responsibilities include courses in Costume Design, Introduction to Design, and other courses that would contribute to the departmental curriculum based on the designer's expertise and interests. Production responsibilities include designing costumes, make-up, and hair for our three mainstage, faculty-directed plays and two dance concerts and sharing in the scene and properties design responsibilities with the other faculty designer. For these duties for a five-show season, the faculty member will receive two course releases, annually.
