What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Operator Commuter Metro position at Keolis America, Inc.?
Core Competencies / Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle Pre-Trip Inspection
- Operate 45 ft Over the Road Motor Coach
- Complete Pre-Trip Inspection Report and deposit copy
- Report any corrections to Dispatch and or Maintenance Supervisor
- Operate his/her vehicle in a safe and courteous manner at all times
- Observe and obey all posted speed limits and traffic laws
- Maintain a current Commercial Driver’s License current, DOT Card
- Report any changes in their driving record immediately upon change
- Document all times, passenger counts, incidents, or any other information requested
- Assist with ADA passengers to ensure safe transport
- Will follow all safety requirements as instructed by safety manager
- Other duties as required
Knowledge and Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Verifiable CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a Passenger Endorsement
- 5 years of driving experience preferred; 3 years required which must be verifiable through DMV
- Strong knowledge of the service area (Multi County area including DC) is preferred
- Professionally groomed and uniformed at all time
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have a clean verifiable driver record (no more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years)
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
- Customer Service Experience is required
- High degree of comfort working with people with disabilities.
- Possess excellent communication (written and verbal) and decision making skills
- Must be able and willing to work Monday - Friday split shift schedule
- Must be flexible and willing to work Monday - Saturday
