Knowledge and Skills
- Develops and maintains strong working relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders and is seen a trusted advisor and "go-to-person" on all financial matters.
- Provides actionable insights and decision support across a wide range of activities including forecasting, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and trend analysis.
- Develops, measures and analyzes performance against operating plans, KPI's, and communicates results to help drive greater accountability.
- Collaborates with teams from the division to analyze trends and develop accurate forecasts based on planned initiatives and strategic business decisions.
- Conducts monthly performance reviews with budget owners to review opex budgets, enhance forecast accuracy, and drive disciplined expense management.
- Prepares and leads financial aspects of the operating planning process.
- Provides support as needed on strategic initiatives including modeling and due diligence as required
- Leads special projects and provides ad hoc analysis as required.
Experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration
- Must have a minimum of 3-7 years of business partnership experience, preferably with an FP&A or Professional Services background;
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills at executive level, plus demonstrated ability to develop a clear message to stakeholders;
- Requires a strong understanding of financial statements / excellent corporate finance knowledge (financial analysis, PnL, cash flows and balance sheet);
- Must have a strong work ethic with demonstrated work history in roles that required a highly motivated and driven professional, able to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously.
- Must have advanced Excel skills;
- Capacity to work with large sets of data;
- Project accounting is a plus;
- Experience working with anaplan is a plus;
- Prefer specific experience in working with companies with a focus on Union / Labor workforce and/or in the Transportation industry; either of these experiences is desirable but not required.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you must manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with senior leaders.
- Builds strong relationships and displays a solid understanding of stakeholder needs and priorities.
- Proactively reaches out to the business leaders to find solutions and deliver outcomes.
- Comfortable working with various technologies including PowerBI, QlikSense, Jedox.
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills.

- Ensure accurate, meaningful and timely reporting of financial trends.

- Develop monthly reporting package.

- Accountable for monthly closing of the department / analytical review of trends and P/L.
