Since 2014, Keolis Commuter Services has been entrusted with operating and maintaining the Commuter Rail network on behalf of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Perform batch processing of data sets including transit schedules, sensor data, and application logs
- Load data sets to applications and perform quality assurance checks
- Perform system testing for upgrades and enhancements
- Provide end user training
- Write SQL queries to extract data from database systems
- Write Python scripts to automate manual processes
- Run reports in reporting tools such as PowerBI and cross reference/QA the data against another source
- Perform field work at commuter rail stations and aboard commuter rail trains to test applications and systems; document findings
- Present data, test results, and other observations to supervisory personnel
- Document, track and monitor problems and ensure a timely resolution
- Comply with all related safety rules as required.
- Earn and maintain required safety trainings/certifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have courses completed in the Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant fields.
- Familiarity with Python and SQL desirable
- Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to communicate successfully with a variety of disciplines and levels, both internal and external.
- Must have intermediate knowledge of MS Office specifically Word and Excel and the ability to learn other software applications.
- Experience with visualization software/BI tools a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
