This is a part time, NON- permanent field position, which works a forty-hour rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Job Description:
Under general supervision, assists with overall park operation, administrative, and maintenance duties in accordance with the Department. Duties will include but are not limited to collecting and accounting for park revenue, routine maintenance, and Interpretation. Primary duties will include management of park operation, routine maintenance/housekeeping of facilities and grounds to meet established standards. Assist with operations to include public use areas, retail operations, and other park facilities. Assist with maintaining a safe work environment. Assist with programs that are designed to help educate public on cultural and natural resources of the State Park Service.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid South Carolina Driver's License. This position requires medium to heavy lifting, walking and standing on uneven terrain, crawling and working at heights. Exposure to weather conditions, cleaning agents and other materials used in maintaining park facilities and grounds. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
