**Job Summary**
We are seeking a talented and experienced Optical Team Member to join our team. As an Optical Team Member, you will be responsible for assisting our doctors with patient care and office operations, including pre-testing patients, gathering patient medical history, answering phone calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, educating patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefits, obtaining insurance authorizations and verification of benefits, accurately posting charges for exam fees, co-pays, and products sold, and assisting other members of the team as needed.
**Responsibilities**
- Pre-test patients for the doctor, including the administration of diagnostic tests
- Gather patient's medical history
- Answer phone calls, greet patients and schedule appointments
- Educate patients on their insurance coverage and vision benefits
- Obtain insurance authorizations and verification of benefits
- Accurately post charges for exam fees, co-pays, and products sold
- Assist other members of the team as needed
